I trust you are finding ways to beat the Heat (still wish The Thunder had!). Just a quick reminder about this weekend at First Church. Our All Church Rummage Sale, sponsored by Women Alive, to help support The Food 4 Kids Program is this weekend. Set-up in today and the Sale is from 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM on Saturday in our air- conditioned Harris Hall. Come bring items to sell and come to shop too!

This Sunday is our “Southern Gospel Sunday;” I also nicknamed it “Blue Jean Sunday”- I’ll be wearing mine. It will be a fun day of worship as we sing some “gospel gold” worship songs, listen to members of our Choir sing, hear personal testimonies shared by members of our church family and eat BBQ prepared by Mary McIntire for lunch! There may even be a surprise or two! Dress casual and be sure to bring a side dish or dessert to share. It’s a great day to invite a friend or neighbor!
