During 2008 FC Kids (K thru 5th Grade) will have an opportunity to participate in a variety of mission opportunities. Each month we will be focusing on projects that can be done “in our own backyards.” The projects may help people just down the street or those on the other side of the world. Our February project is very exciting because we have been invited to plant potatoes at the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma. Bruce Edwards, Director of Urban Harvest, will show our kids how to plant potatoes in his children’s garden while teaching them how the potatoes they plant will benefit hungry people in Oklahoma. Due to bad weather, we have rescheduled this project for Saturday, March 1, from 1:00 – 3:30pm. If you would like to ride with us in the church van, please meet at the church parking lot at 12:30pm.
