The King FamilyChuck and Louann King and their three children have been living and ministering in Jerusalem since 1996 when Chuck joined the staff of the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem as music and artistic director. Chuck is responsible for the music and stage production of the ICEJ's Feast of Tabernacles Celebration, which is Israel's largest annual tourism event, hosting thousands of Christians from around the world. He has led concert tours for the ICEJ in South America, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, the Philippines, and the USA. Chuck is a noted worship leader, songwriter, and recording artist in the Christian world, and appears on a number of recordings produced in Israel and the United States. He is serving as the executive producer of The Covenant (a colorful Biblical drama recounting the miraculous story of the people of Israel from the call of Abraham to the founding of the modern state). Chuck also continues to serve as a worship leader for King of Kings Assembly, one of Israel's largest Christian congregations. A recently released live worship recording entitled, Worship in Jerusalem with King of Kings Assembly, features several of Chuck's original songs. His worship songs, in Hebrew and in English, are now being sung in congregations throughout Israel. Chuck has three other solo albums: Psalms of Ascent, Highways to Zion, and Water from the Rock. His first book, A Worshipper's Guide to the Holy Land, was released in 2006.

December 2007 Update

King Family Update

Dear Friends of the King Family and RockWater Music,

Season’s Greetings from Jerusalem! We’ve just completed lighting the 8th candle on our hanukkiah, and now we look forward to celebrating the birth of our Messiah, Jesus, in the coming days.

The holidays in Israel are always a very special time-celebrated in beauty and simplicity. This week, the doors of the International Christian Embassy were opened for a public reception, welcoming many of our Jewish friends and neighbors. Our facility and gardens were beautifully decorated in thousands of lights, and hundreds of visitors were greeted with hot chocolate, mulled wine, and treated to traditional songs and carols for Hanukkah and Christmas, played by a string quartet from the Jerusalem Symphony. Chuck joined them on the piano and glockenspiel, while Esther van der Linden, from the Feast of Tabernacles Orchestra accompanied on flute.

The King family has another reason to celebrate during this time: last night our daughter Kaitlyn became officially engaged to Oriel Danielson! Louann and I are so happy and pleased with “the match” and sense God’s blessing upon it. Oriel recently completed his service in the Israeli Defense Force, and is now working at God TV here in Jerusalem. We look forward to a wedding in Jerusalem sometime in the late spring of this coming year.

Speaking of Katie, PETER PAN closed last week after six sell out performances. We’ve added a few pictures of the show, produced by the Jerusalem English Speaking Theatre, and featuring Katie in the title role, onto our website photo gallery. (More are to come.) RockWater Music was pleased to participate in sponsoring the orchestra for the production, made up largely of outstanding students from the Rubin Academy of Music and Dance, and we thank our generous donors for making thi s possible.

Also please note on the events page of the website that Chuck will be in Oklahoma during the latter part of January and into February, and will be doing some concert ministry with Jeff Lewis. Jeff is a very powerful and anointed minister in Dance. We hope that those of you in the area will be able to join us for these special worship events. Also please note that Chuck and Jeff will also be ministering together in the United Kingdom during the month of February, in Billinge, Liverpool, Southampton, and Belfast, Northern Ireland. Details of the schedule will be posted on the website as they develop.

In the coming days, Chuck will be returning to the studio for recording sessions with Galilee of the Nations. Chuck will feature on two songs on the album, set for release in May 2008 and in commemoration of Israel’s 60th birthday. Can it be ten years ago that Chuck participated on ADONAI, also released by GOTN and Integrity Music, celebrating Israel’s 50th?

We continue to thank God for sustaining us and allowing us to serve among His People in the Holy Land for twelve years now. May your hearts and homes be filled with His love and His peace during this season of light.

Shalom from Jerusalem,
Chuck and Louann King

P.S. Please note that RockWater Music is offering our book and CD, A Worshipper’s Guide to the Holy Land, co-written with Dennis Jernigan, at a special price during December only.
