Primetimers Lunches in December

Lunch VolunteersThe Skyline McKee Center is a local United Methodist mission outpost in Oklahoma City. Due to lack of facility space at Christmas time, they cannot offer local senior citizens any programs during December. The seniors normally eat lunch at McKee three days a week and also have time for fellowship. To help continue services to these seniors, First Church will be hosting the Primetimers’ lunch each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, December 2-21. The response by Christmas LunchFirst Church last year was incredible and we hope many will volunteer again, as well as contribute funds to cover the cost of the meals. We can never have too much help! Some additional suggestions where you can help: provide special treats to give to the seniors; lead singing at the lunches; lead Bingo games and/or provide bingo prizes (macaroni & cheese, canned food, hygiene items, etc.); provide table decorations for the lunches; take pictures on Christmas picture days; or provide care packages to send home with the seniors. Please stop by the plaza Sunday to volunteer to help, or email Tammy Patton.
