Wednesday a week ago was the final night of “The Truth Project”. I am so thankful to those who continued to support the Wednesday evening program and I know even if you were present for one week of the program you were blessed. So, what now? What do you do with the knowledge and information you have received over the past 14 weeks? Some of this goes hand in hand with the sermon from Sunday. We know the Truth, so what will we do with it? Often times this is where we begin to break down and feel guilty or look only at what we can’t do. This is the way the devil takes advantage of our thoughts and reminds us just how small we are. The devil encourages the thoughts in our heads that we are only one person, and nobody really listens to us anyway. We are constantly deluged with the enormity of the problem and how helpless we are to solve it.
I want to embrace that feeling and break down that thought for just a moment. I am but one person. I rarely have a massive audience that is waiting to respond with reckless abandon when I speak. What do I have to offer? Let us remember that God does not always come in the earthquake or the mighty wind. He does not always choose to come with tongues of fire above the heads of the crowd or darken the noon day sky. God often comes to us with a still small voice. If I have nothing else to give let me be the still small voice that spreads the Truth in love to all that will hear. Let me be the voice of ONE crying in the wilderness, “Prepare ye the way of the Lord.” I may not influence the entire planet, but if I can influence those who I speak to on a daily basis I know God will be pleased.
As a church body we not only have a responsibility, but a longing to tell the world we are not defeated. With Christ we can do all things, we are more than conquerors through Him who loves us. If Christ is for us, who can be against us? For I am convinced that nothing can separate us from the love of Christ. We must simply take the first step to share the good news with one more person. Isn’t it great that we get to share the good news? I love sharing good news. It seems like it has almost become more popular to share bad news! We have the privilege to share the good news to everyone we meet. Go, and share with someone right now, that you have a Savior who cares about your problems and concerns. Sometimes that’s all it takes!
Set the Truth free in your world today!
Grace and peace,
Kirk
