There are many different opinions about worship. A lot of people can tend to see worship as just the music we sing, about or to God. While music as worship is very important, it's not just about the music. Our Worship to God encompasses our whole life. (Mind, Body, Soul) God reveals Himself to us, who He is and what He's done. Then we have the opportunity to respond with our hearts and minds and our souls bringing glory to Him. We have been called for this purpose, 1 Peter 2:9 "You are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light". If we can live our lives with this in mind, that we were made to bring worship to God, imagine what God will continue to do here on earth. I hope that we as First Church and as a part of the body of Christ, that our communities we live in, our jobs, and our marketplace will be impacted with the love God has for people through our worship to Him. When we come this Sunday as our act of corporate worship, let's bring Christ to the center of the room. And, from our hearts as we sing and speak, may we bring worth to who He is and what He has done!!!
