SERVING DOWNTOWN OKC

Church is about connecting people to God and to one another.  If God calls you to First Church, we look forward to you being part of our family of faith as we partner with local schools, reach out to the downtown homeless population, collaborate with the OKC National Memorial and Museum, and make a difference in our neighborhoods.  We look forward to seeing God’s continued work in our city.  There is no debate that the best is yet to come for First Church and for OKC!

Whiz Kids

Whiz Kids is an after school tutoring program for at risk OKC public school children.  The lives of dozens of students each year are impacted because of the devotion and commitment of our wonderful volunteer tutors.

If you are interested in volunteering to tutor or help in any other capacity, please fill out the form below.

Friday Night Alive!

Friday Night Alive meets each Friday evening at 6:00 for a worship service beginning at 6:20 and a meal at 7:00.  This worship service is designed to meet the everyday needs and struggles of our downtown homeless neighbors and friends.  The announcements, music, sermon, and altar time all have in mind the needs of these who are most at risk in our neighborhood.

If you would like to volunteer in the kitchen, serve drinks, run the sound system, lead music, pray at the altar, provide security, or help in other ways, please fill out the form below.

The special relationship between First Church and Gatewood Elementary is growing and maturing as we reach out to this neighborhood public school.  We believe public education is one of the great social justice issues of our day and we believe making a difference in a local school is the beginning of make real and sustainable change.

We volunteer at the school in various ways, and we could always use more volunteers. Fill out the form below if you want to help out!
