We know that meeting someone for the first time can be intimidating and that going to a new church for the first time can be nerve-racking. We want to make your first experience with First Church a great one.

As you will enter the facility under the large portico you will be greeted by a wonderful group of greeters trained to introduce you to our facility and our congregation.  As you make your way down the hallway toward the Welcome Center make sure you take in the rich beauty of our historic building's stained glass and artwork, creating a blend of the traditional and contemporary.

At our Welcome Center make sure you grab a cup of our certified fair trade French roasted coffee, ground fresh every Sunday morning.  At our Welcome Center you also can find more information about our church, our ministries, our small groups and studies, and how you can best connect with others.  Additionally you will notice we are sharing our facility with The Christ Experience, a United Methodist congregation worshipping in Harris Hall.

As you make your way into our Worship Center you will be welcomed in any manner of clothing. Those with no church experience will feel just as comfortable as those with lots of church experience during our worship service.  Children will feel part of the worship experience with a Children's Message by our Pastor, Children's Church for younger children, and activity packets for older children.

Our worship service blends both the modern and traditional into one dynamic event.  Our talented worship band leads us in our modern music while our traditional songs are accompanied on our impressive pipe organ.  You also won't want to miss out on our special worship services throughout the year during the Christmas and Easter holiday seasons.

Holy Communion is often celebrated on the first Sunday of each month.  We invite everyone to join us for communion as we offer an open communion table.

And when it comes to the sermon, you won't find yourself easily bored.  Pastor Lesly preaches in a practical, easy-to-understand manner that helps translate the Bible to everyday life.  We hope you will join us as we experience God's love and forgiveness at First Church!

9:30am – Sunday School
10:45am – Worship
6:00 pm – Youth

6:00 pm – Bible Study
6:15 pm – Children's Programming
7:45 pm – Choir Rehearsal

Your children are always welcome to stay in worship with you throughout all our worship service.  Pastor Lesly leads a Children's Message during the worship service designed to connect directly with the needs and language of children.  After the Children's Message children pre-K through Second Grade are welcome to go to the first floor for Children's Church for the remainder of the worship service.  In Children's Church, children will hear a Bible story, work on a craft, sing songs, play, and fellowship together.

Children are the heartbeat of our church. We believe that passing on our faith to our children is one of our primary responsibilities so we include children in almost all that we do at First Church.  When fitting, age-appropriate learning space and time is available for children to learn in an environment that will meet their particular age needs; however we are passionate about multi-generational learning and worship.
