ASH WEDNESDAY
Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the season of Lent - a time of reflection, repentance, and renewal. We gather on this day to remember our dependence on God, receive ashes as a sign of humility, and turn our hearts toward grace and transformation.
We invite you to join us for our Ash Wednesday service on February 18, 2026. We will have two opportunities to join us:
→ 12pm in the Sanctuary
→ 6:30pm in the Sanctuary
This service creates space to pause, pray, and begin the Lenten journey together as a community of faith.
Whether this practice is familiar or new to you, everyone is welcome to come just as you are.

Lent at First Church
This Lent, we’re slowing down.
Join us for a new sermon series, "Following Jesus: Walking Closely with Our Lord", as we take a slow walk with the disciples and rediscover what it really means to follow Jesus, then and now.
In the first century, following a rabbi meant more than listening. It meant walking behind him, learning his way of life, and staying close enough to be covered in the dust of his feet. This season, we’ll journey through familiar stories with fresh eyes - practicing attentiveness, repentance, trust, prayer, and fasting as we learn to stay close to Christ, even when the way is costly.
Lent is our training season. Let’s walk with Jesus all the way to the cross, trusting that His way leads to life.
